Description
A listing of various animals that may exist (Sasquatch, Nessie), may still exist (Giant Sloth, Plesiosaur), or never existed at all (Sewer Alligators, Jackalopes.) Hoaxes are discussed, as well as misidentifications and actual evidence. Cohen also covers UFO's, phantom animals, and other related things.
Review
Despite his tendency to skepticism, which occasionaly infringes on the information presented, this is the most complete listing of such creatures that I have found - especially when you discount all the ones that go off the deep end completely. This is the only place where I have any information on many of the animals discussed. A nice book for anyone interested in cryptozoology, tall tales, and other oddball incidents. If only I could find a few more like it...
