From the origins of the species to the various domestic breeds, this book covers just about everything one could want to know about the domestic cat, with some notes on their wild cousins.
Review
This is a good, all-around feline information book, not so much a cat-care manual as a reference book. This is the only place I have information on all of the wild cat species, not just the standard "big cats" but all of the (largely obscure) "little cats." I do wish that they had attempted to provide photographs of them, but it sounds like photos just aren't available for some of the species mentioned. This is fairly thorough, even if the authors do get a little too clever for their own good... especially in the breed profiles.
