Review

This is best as a supplement to Jack Hamm's excellent art books, which have more in the way of examples and less in the way of extensive text. Knight has a different approach, and fills in subjects (such as birds and fish) that Hamm glosses over or ignores completely. This book shows its age more than Hamm's books, but still has much to offer an artist. I purchased it for the sections on bird and reptile drawing, of particular interest to one who wishes to draw better dragons and feathered fantasy figures, but those are not the only decent sections. Overall, a good art book.
