Description
Fairies and watercolors go very well together, the medium giving the subject a luminous quality befitting its magical nature. This book shows many examples of fairies and fairy relatives (mermaids, gnomes, and such) in watercolor, with notes about the many kinds of faeries and some step-by-step guides to specific pictures.
Review
Since I have a longstanding argument with watercolors (they never do what I want them to do), and I don't have a place to work with them even if I didn't keep arguing with them, I can't speak for the accuracy or usefulness of the step-by-step lessons. I can still appreciate the many beautiful pictures and other elements of this book. It certainly sparks the imagination, even if actually painting anything out of this book is beyond my means and abilities.
