Description
Part of the classic Walter Foster art instruction book series, this book uses helpful text and many drawings to describe how to draw big cats in various states of motion, with an emphasis on composition over photographic accuracy and drawing from memory and sketches over using photos.
Review
Despite being an older book, this is a very useful volume for cat-loving artists. Mr. Wilwerding has many helpful tips here, including a breakdown of leopard/jaguar spotting (the best I have) and many finished pencil and paint works. It works best as a supplement to another, more thorough animal book. If you can find a copy, and you enjoy drawing cats (or catlike fantastic creatures), do yourself a favor and pick it up.
