Review

This is a great book for people who were confused by the wash of races and characters in the movie. I wasn't lost, so this seemed a little superficial. I clipped it a point for not living up to the cover's promise of being "the ultimate movie companion," and for occasionally oversimplifying its explanations. Still, it's a well-done book, and covers pretty much everyone and everything in Middle Earth - at least, as seen in Peter Jackson's vision.
